Gurukul Yogashala- Outdoor Activities
On weekends, Gurukul Yogashala organises a few outdoor activities as a refresher for participants in its yoga teacher training and retreat programme after finishing the weekdays' hard sessions. This comprises going to the nearby Ashrams, Temples, hikes, river rafting, etc.
We know how important it is to relax after a whole week of continuous sessions, so we make sure to schedule a visit to some of the most popular spots in Rishikesh.
Whitewater rafting
On weekends you can enjoy rafting too. Depending on your experience level, choose the rafting stretch to Rishikesh from Brahampuri, Shivpuri, Marine Drive, and Kaudiyala, which has rapids of varying degrees.
Riding the rapids without a raft by merely utilising your body to float with the current is another relatively recent adventurous activity that you can engage in Rishikesh while rafting. Body surfing is something you really must try if you love adventure!

Visit the Devi Temple
With so many temples, Rishikesh attracts many visitors for various religious rituals. Participants in Yoga Teacher Training programmes and Retreats can visit one of the Devi Temples, located on a neighbouring hilltop with a 360-degree panoramic view.

Visit the Stunning Hindu Shrines in Rishikesh
The adventure sports were introduced considerably later; Rishikesh is first and foremost a Hindu pilgrimage site and one of India's holiest locations, as seen by the enormous number of exquisite temples that dot the area. And for any visitor to Rishikesh, visiting as many of them and requesting blessings is among the first things you should do.
